We were in the area and stopped in for breakfast. This is an old school dinner style restaurant with the bar stools and booths. It was clean and well kept. The breakfast and service was great. The portions were a good size and arrived hot. The coffee was very good too. There were a number of options to choose from and a variety of sides to make it as you would like it. The location is right on the main Street in Essex. There is street parking and a lot around the corner. We had no issues parking a short distance away.

BEST BREAKFAST RESTAURANT!!! An absolute must for anyone who enjoys dining out for a breakfast meal, the service is very prompt and polite, meals are all fresh made with good and real ingredients, coffee is fresh and rich, and a genuinely bigger menu to pick from.

An Essex staple this place will always exist and for good reason. The food is great. I've only ever had breakfast here but it's always good. Eggs benedict is way better than most diners.

This has become one of our go to restaurants. we don't mind travelling from Leamington to enjoy it.The food is good and reasonably priced. And the staff is friendly and helpful. Just wish they were open longer on week days and weekends.

Great diner atmosphere, with counter and stools for the single diner, booths for all else. It was a very busy Sunday morning. Get there early! Good menu pancakes, waffles with berries, and much more. The Eggs Benedict my family had looked delicious. Unfortunately nothing on the menu is gluten free so I ate eggs and bacon (boring) which were pretty nondescript. The endless coffee is a bonus. If they had a few GF items it would be a fantastic place.

Ordered food at 12:14 and were not served it until 1pm. No real apologies for the delay other than "it's on its way" and "I haven't forgot". If that's the excuses then this diner is really slow and I couldn't recommend it for a lunch break from work. Poutine was really only fries, gravy and shredded cheese. Should say if it's not going to be poutine (cheese curds expected)Unfortunate dining experience with so many other places to eat in Essex. We have been working in the area all summer and have tried a lot.
